Nirmala Hospital, Kozhikode, recently embraced the festive spirit with its annual Cake Mixing Ceremony, themed "Mix & Mingle," held on October 17, 2025.
The event, a time-honoured tradition marking the beginning of the holiday season, took place at the College of Nursing Auditorium at 3:00 PM. Staff, students, and guests enthusiastically participated in the ritual of mixing various dried fruits, nuts, and spices that will be aged and eventually used to bake the hospital's Christmas cake.
The ceremony was a wonderful opportunity for the hospital community to come together, welcome the season, and share in the spirit of togetherness and celebration. This year's "Mix & Mingle" successfully ushered in the holiday cheer, reflecting the hospital's mission of "Healing Mission with a Human Touch."

Nirmala Hospital and Vikas Social Service Society, an outreach center of Nirmala Hospital, observed the International Day for Older Persons on October 1, 2025, at St. Philomina L.P. School. The event also marked the inauguration of the Vayosmitham project, which includes various activities such as a medical camp and awareness programs for senior citizens. The ceremony was officially inaugurated by Sri Thottathil Raveendran, Hon. MLA of Kozhikode North.
An awareness session on the Vayogena Commission and the Senior Citizens Act was conducted by Sri Radhakrishnan, State Secretary of the Senior Citizens Forum. During the meeting, Rev. Fr. Denny Mosses, Sri Mohanan Puthiyottil, Dr. Mariya Fernanda, Dr. Sree Lekha, Sr. Jolsana Varkey, and Sri Joseph Rebellow were honored with felicitations.
